Terms, Conditions & Code of Conduct

UBLeagues LLC, a Virginia limited liability company, operates Major Rematch League. By creating an account, registering, paying the registration and league-services fee, or participating in an MRL activity, you agree to the version of these Terms presented for the applicable registration or season.

Terms & Conditions

§ 1 — Eligibility

Participation in MRL is limited to individuals who are at least 18 years old at the time of registration.
By registering, you confirm that you are legally permitted to participate in skill-based competitions and that all information you provide is accurate.
MRL reserves the right to verify age and eligibility and to deny or revoke participation when eligibility requirements are not satisfied.

§ 2 — Registration Fees & Payments

The current registration and league-services fee is $15 per player or General Manager and is processed through MRL's approved payment provider.
The fee purchases registration-processing and league-administration services, which may include eligibility review, access to league registration systems, player-profile administration, statistics and recordkeeping, scheduling and communications, draft and showcase administration, content, events, moderation, and other league operations.
Registration and league-administration services are not conditioned on draft selection or roster placement.
Registration fees are revenue of UBLeagues LLC and do not create an individual or collective ownership interest in registration proceeds or a seasonal reward allocation.
Payment does not guarantee draft selection, roster placement, playing time, participation in every event, a specific team or position, advancement, compensation, winnings, or eligibility for every seasonal reward.
The $15 fee is for registration and league services. Payment alone does not establish Draft Eligibility or guarantee a particular team, tier, role, playing time, advancement, or monetary reward. Players who complete the requirements and become Draft Eligible advance into the draft and are assigned to a team, subject to the Rules. The displayed Projected $2,000 Seasonal Rewards is a preliminary estimate rather than a guarantee, and the final seasonal reward allocation will be announced after registration closes. Review the Rules, Terms, and Payment & Cancellation Notice before paying.
All registration payments are final immediately upon successful payment. The $15 registration and league-services fee is nonrefundable except for: (a) a confirmed duplicate charge; (b) an unauthorized charge; (c) an incorrectly processed charge; (d) a refund required by applicable law; or (e) MRL permanently canceling the entire season for all participants because MRL is unable to reasonably continue league operations.
No refund is available for quitting; withdrawing; inactivity; scheduling, work, school, or travel conflicts; not being drafted; unwanted team, tier, or roster placement; participant technical problems; suspension, removal, ban, or disqualification; one tier, division, bracket, team, playoff series, or championship failing to finish; a tier failing to certify a champion; or schedule, playoff, tier, roster, or format modifications.
MRL will investigate credible reports of duplicate, unauthorized, or incorrectly processed charges. Participants must contact MRL promptly and provide the transaction information reasonably needed to investigate. When MRL confirms that a charge was duplicated or incorrectly processed, MRL will refund the affected charge to the original payment method.
Paid registration fees will be refunded only if MRL permanently cancels the entire season for all participants because MRL is unable to reasonably continue league operations. If MRL permanently cancels the entire season for everyone, eligible paid registrants will receive a refund of the registration fee to the original payment method. Complimentary registrations have no cash value and are not refundable.
No refund is created merely because one tier, division, bracket, team, playoff series, or championship is delayed, shortened, modified, canceled, or not completed while the overall MRL season continues. MRL may use reasonable alternatives to continue or complete the season, including rescheduling, shortened schedules, modified playoff brackets, forfeitures, administrative rulings, tier consolidation, or another announced competitive format. These changes do not create a right to a refund. MRL does not prorate registration fees.
A documented attempt to obtain a refund or initiate a chargeback through fraud, deception, material misrepresentation, or other bad faith is serious misconduct and may result in discipline, including a permanent ban, under the published Rules and appeal process.
This permanent-ban rule does not apply to a legitimate dispute involving an unauthorized, duplicated, or incorrectly processed charge, or to any right that cannot legally be waived.

§ 3 — Seasonal Rewards & Skill-Based Competition

MRL competitions are intended to be determined primarily by player and team skill, preparation, strategy, communication, execution, and performance under the applicable league rules.
The competition's intended reliance on skill does not by itself determine its legal classification in every jurisdiction. Participants remain responsible for complying with applicable eligibility restrictions.
Before Season 8 registration closes, any displayed amount—including the current $2,000 figure—is a projected seasonal reward and not a guarantee. Preliminary estimate. Final seasonal rewards will be announced after registration closes and may increase or decrease based on participation, sponsorships, available league funding, and operating requirements.
Registration fees are paid for registration-processing and league-administration services. Registration fees are revenue of UBLeagues LLC and do not create an individual or collective ownership interest in registration proceeds or a seasonal reward allocation.
The final seasonal reward allocation will be announced after registration closes and will replace every earlier projection or estimate. The final notice must state eligibility, distribution, identity and tax-document verification, verification deadlines, participant-specific forfeiture, reallocation, payment timing, any minimum-registration condition, and the season-wide permanent-cancellation treatment.
An approved registration is a completed paid registration or authorized complimentary entry that satisfies eligibility review. MRL tracks and reports paid registrations and complimentary entries separately.
At least 240 approved registrations: Pro, Semi-Pro, Academy, and Development.
At least 180 but fewer than 240 approved registrations: Pro, Semi-Pro, and Academy.
Fewer than 180 approved registrations: registration remains open until at least 180 approved registrations are reached.
Four-tier distribution: Pro 65%, Semi-Pro 20%, Academy 10%, Development 5%.
Three-tier distribution: Pro 65%, Semi-Pro 20%, Academy 15%.
Percentages apply to the final announced allocation, not the earlier projection. Allocations are rounded to whole dollars and any final rounding remainder is assigned to Pro. Only the championship team in each tier receives that tier monetary allocation. There are no runner-up monetary payments.
Only eligible participants listed on the championship team final postseason roster when the championship becomes final may receive payment. Players traded, released, removed, or otherwise absent from that roster are not eligible.
The championship General Manager submits a proposed team distribution totaling exactly the tier allocation within seven calendar days after the championship becomes final. League Administration approval is required. Every eligible final-postseason-roster participant who appeared in at least one official match should receive a nonzero share unless disqualified under published rules. A GM may receive a share only when also an eligible member of the final postseason roster. No individual may receive more than 35% without a written exceptional-competitive-contribution finding approved by League Administration.
In a four-tier season, the Development champion receives its published Development monetary allocation and five complimentary player registrations for the next MRL season in which the championship organization participates. The GM selects the players subject to MRL approval. The entries are limited to players registering with that organization, have no cash value, are nonrefundable, are not transferable to another organization, are not redeemable for money, do not guarantee roster approval, playing time, or rewards, remain subject to normal age, eligibility, conduct, registration, and policy requirements, and expire after two MRL seasons if unused.
Potential recipients have 14 calendar days after written notice to complete verification. One discretionary extension of up to seven calendar days may be approved for good cause when requested before the original deadline. MRL must send one final written reminder before declaring a forfeiture.
Approved monetary rewards will be processed through PayPal within 30 calendar days after: (a) the championship result becomes final; (b) the appeal period expires or is resolved; (c) the GM distribution is approved by League Administration; and (d) the recipient completes all required identity, eligibility, payment, and tax verification. Recipients must provide accurate PayPal information and maintain an account capable of receiving payment. MRL is not responsible for delays caused by inaccurate recipient information, recipient account restrictions, PayPal review, or circumstances outside MRL’s reasonable control. MRL never requires an advance fee to receive a reward.
Participant-specific payment may be forfeited only for a published reason, including failure to complete verification, fraud, cheating, account sharing, identity mismatch, disqualification, unresolved payment reversal, false registration information, or another expressly stated eligibility violation. The GM must submit a revised distribution among remaining eligible members of the same championship team, subject to League Administration approval. No forfeited amount transfers to a runner-up. If no eligible championship-team recipient remains, the amount carries into a future MRL reward or promotional allocation and does not silently become ordinary retained revenue.
Monetary rewards may constitute taxable income. Each recipient is responsible for all federal, state, local, and other taxes arising from a reward. MRL may require Form W-9 or other tax information before payment and may report payments to taxing authorities when required by law. MRL does not provide individual tax advice. Failure to provide required tax information may delay payment or result in forfeiture under the published verification rules. MRL may apply backup withholding when legally required.
Once the final seasonal reward allocation is announced, it must be administered under its published eligibility and distribution terms. UBLeagues LLC may not reduce the final allocation merely for convenience or to increase its retained revenue.
A finalized reward may be affected only by circumstances identified in the published Rules or final season notice, including fraud, cheating, participant ineligibility, disqualification, payment disputes, permanent cancellation of the entire season for all participants, or events outside MRL's reasonable control.
UBLeagues LLC may announce additional promotional bonuses or increases to seasonal rewards. No additional reward is guaranteed unless formally announced in writing. Any announced additional reward is subject to its published terms.

§ 4 — Commissioner Authority

UBLeagues LLC, a Virginia limited liability company, operates Major Rematch League, with league administration carried out by the Commissioner and authorized League staff.
The Commissioner has final administrative authority over competition rules, scheduling, eligibility, disputes, discipline, and reward eligibility, subject to the published Rules and these Terms.
The Commissioner may modify competition operations or suspend play when reasonably necessary, subject to the published Rules and these Terms. This administrative authority does not permit a final seasonal reward allocation to be reduced merely for convenience or to increase UBLeagues LLC's retained revenue.

§ 5 — Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

MRL is provided as-is for competitive entertainment purposes. No warranties are made regarding uninterrupted service or platform availability.
The League is not responsible for platform outages, game server failures, third-party payment delays, or any circumstances outside its reasonable control.

§ 6 — Media & Content Rights

By participating, you grant MRL a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use your username, team name, in-game clips, screenshots, and statistics for promotional purposes on Discord, social media, and the MRL website.
You may stream your own matches; however, you may not claim official broadcast rights or monetize MRL-branded content without written permission from the Commissioner.

§ 7 — Governing Law, Venue & Disputes

All disputes arising out of participation in MRL will first be addressed through the league's internal dispute resolution process (see Rulebook § 11).
These Terms do not create any partnership, employment, or agency relationship between participants and the League.

§ 8 — Changes to These Terms

MRL may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced through an official MRL channel and will apply prospectively from their stated effective date.
New registration or continued participation in a future season may require acceptance of the updated Terms.
Terms accepted for an earlier completed purchase will not be silently overwritten by a later version. The application of updated Terms to an existing season will be limited to prospective operational matters and is subject to applicable law.

Code of Conduct

§ 1 — Respect & Sportsmanship

Treat all opponents, teammates, staff, and community members with respect at all times.
Competitive trash talk is natural — personal attacks, sustained toxicity, or targeted harassment are not.
Win or lose, conduct yourself with integrity. How you compete reflects on your team and this league.

§ 2 — Zero Tolerance

Immediate suspension or permanent removal

Hate speech, slurs, or discrimination of any kind (race, gender, religion, nationality, sexual orientation, disability, or otherwise)
Threats of violence, doxxing, or sharing of private personal information without consent
Sexual harassment of any participant

§ 3 — Competitive Integrity

No throwing games, intentional sandbagging, or stat manipulation.
No smurfing, account sharing, or impersonation of another player.
No bribery, side deals, or collusion to influence trades, rosters, or match outcomes.
No use of unauthorized software, scripts, or exploits outside the documented Glitch Protocol.

§ 4 — Identity & Accounts

You must compete under your registered IGN and Discord username at all times.
You may not play under another person's account, nor allow anyone to play under yours.
Account switching or platform ID changes require re-approval from League staff and a processing fee.
Impersonation of another player or league official is prohibited.

§ 5 — Communication Standards

Keep channels on-topic; no spam, flooding, or excessive pings.
DM harassment of any member is prohibited.
Do not share private conversations or DMs without consent of all parties.
Do not impersonate league staff, commissioners, or officials.

§ 6 — Discord Standards

Comply with Discord's Terms of Service at all times.
No NSFW, illegal, hateful, or harmful content in any channel.
Respect channel-specific rules and purposes.

§ 7 — Disciplinary System

🟨 Yellow Card — Formal warning for minor infractions (light toxicity, spam, minor rule violations). Two Yellow Cards in one season = automatic Red Card.
🟥 Red Card — Suspended for the next match (3 games). Three Red Cards in one season = suspended for the remainder of the season, including playoffs.
⛔ Severe Misconduct — Immediate suspension pending investigation; may result in permanent removal. Any payment or participant-specific reward consequence must follow the published registration, cancellation, and seasonal-reward terms.
Additional penalties for specific violations are outlined in Rulebook § 9.

§ 8 — Reporting a Violation

Submit a ticket in the MRL Discord server with your evidence (screenshots, clips, timestamps).
Do not publicly call out members — escalate to league staff via ticket.
Filing a false or malicious report is itself a Code of Conduct violation.

§ 9 — Appeals

Any penalty may be appealed within 24 hours if new evidence exists.
Appeals are submitted via ticket directly to the Commissioner.
Commissioner decisions are final.

§ 10 — Staff Conduct

League staff are held to the same standards as all participants, and to a higher standard of professionalism.
Staff members who abuse their position, favor, or authority will be removed from their role.
